Dr. Elda Borroto was born and raised in Cuba and moved to Miami at the age of 17.
Her journey in veterinary medicine began at Miami Dade College’s Honors College and continued at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with honors in 2025.
Dr. Borroto has special interests in soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and integrative medicine. She is passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate care and believes in creating long-term relationships with pet owners to ensure the best care for her patients.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Borroto enjoys spending time with her family and her two beloved dogs, Baloo and Maui. Her hobbies include photography, yoga, and making candles.
