Company History
West Kendall Animal Hospital was founded in 1986 by Jeffrey L. Davidson, D.V.M. Dr. Davidson's vision was to provide high quality veterinary medical services with a personal level of care to the family-oriented population in the fast-growing West Kendall neighborhoods. While West Kendall has continued to grow and develop, West Kendall Animal Hospital has maintained Dr. Davidson's personal commitment to veterinary care.
We've known many of our patients since their first puppy or kitten checkup, and we've shared a special moment with these same pet owners when it was time to end their beloved but infirm pet's life. In between, we've been there to neuter their cat, to nurse the dog with a broken leg, and to diagnose and treat the illness that's causing their bird not to eat. We've treated many reptiles, more than a few pigs, several monkeys, and at least one goat since the doors of West Kendall Animal Hospital first opened in 1986. We treat every new patient as though we were going to be together for a lifetime, because a lifetime of pet care is our goal.
Biography: Jeffrey L. Davidson, D.V.M.
Dr. Davidson is a near-native of Miami, Florida, having grown up in Kendall. After graduation from Killian High School, Dr. Davidson attended the University of Florida, followed by veterinary school at the University of Florida's School of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated in 1981, and then spent twelve months at the University of Pennsylvania, performing an internship in small animal medicine. Dr. Davidson returned to Miami in 1982, and practiced at a local animal hospital for four years. In October 1986, Dr. Davidson opened West Kendall Animal Hospital. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Association of Avian Veterinarians, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and the South Florida Veterinary Medical Association.
